Professor Al

Brotherhood spoilers!!!! Sort of? Most of this is speculation.

I made a reference sheet for Al while working on the pages. I drew him in a suit coat before I was told he was arriving in Creta, which is very much a desert OTL
They told me to give him long hair and at first I was like "Ehhh..." because he cuts his hair before he even goes home to Resembool. But then I remembered how much he admired Hohenheim and suddenly I could picture him--at the very least--going through a phase where he wants to put his hair in a long ponytail. So he's growing it out currently.

He's got a pocket watch in his vest pocket there, but it's not a State Alchemist watch--Al is a professor now. He's learned all about Xingese alkahestry but didn't feel the need to get a state license. As always, he's a sharp-dressed man. He spends a lot of time on appearance--not vainly, but seriously, he went a long time without a body! That does things to a chap!

I actually gave him Greedling's body type if you want a quick reference for his silhouette shape. His wrists are a bit thinner, though. Al keeps in shape because Izumi taught him at a young age to train his body.
